The Navigon 8110
The Navigon 8110 is expected to be announced at CeBIT 08 in March, we have the scoop on this nice and early thanks to German website Pocket Navigation.
The 8110 will be the new high-end portable navigation device with a brushed aluminium design and a very wide screen, measuring 4.8 inches and voice recognition for capturing address information.
Navigon 8110 will be equipped with Navigon 7 navigation software, and it will also have hands free integrated Bluetooth kit, as well as an FM transmitter to utilise the audio system of the vehicle.

Magellan Maestro Elite 4350 GPS System
We expect Magellan to release the Maestro Elite 4350 soon and the guess at the moment is the price will be in or around €350.
The Elite 4350 will feature voice commands and control, 3D landmarks, text-to-speech, and finally built-in AAA travel information.

The Becker Traffic Assist 7977
This is the Becker Traffic Assist 7977, the GPS navigation system comes in at at a mere 7.1 oz and measuring only 0.75″ thin. It’s has detailed maps which are provided from NAVTEQ and come with a 4.3″ touchscreen.

Goodyear to launch new GPS devices at CES 2008
Goodyear have decided to release a series of eight GPS units to be designed and manufactured by a New York company called The NCC. They are expected to showcase they new product at the CES show in Las Legas in the coming days.
The GPS devices will be state-of-the-art, fully-featured navigation and multimedia device, the units will have Bluetooth capabilities for easy access to incoming and making outgoing phone calls. The remote control can be fastened to the driver’s side visor, placed near the gear shift, or stuck anywhere within reach. Certain models will also feature MSN® Direct service for live traffic updates, local gas prices, weather reports, and even local movie times.
Garmin nuvi 5000 on the way
The Garmin 5000 has just been announced and is expect to seen in action at CES 2008 next week. As you’ll notice from the picture the 5000 has an extremely large display which I guess they are trying to tap into the market for lager vehicles. As ever with Garmin features include touchscreen display, voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions, route calculation, and automatic rerouting if you make a mistake.
It’s expected to be released in the US around the end of February and then make it’s way to Europe on Q2 expect to pay around $800.
